I was so inspired by Pinefeather's Gift Tags that it gave me the idea to do a larger-scale tag as my Christmas Cards this year. So, I ordered some new supplies from Papertrey Ink (love them!) and got to work on some "proto-types". I will be adding a pocket to the backside to hold a Christmas photo, but here are examples of the front side.
I LOVE the new faux wood grain stamp I purchased from Papertrey Ink - doesn't it look like real wood?!?! I have a feeling this stamp will get a lot of use.

Onesie for Chewie (my furbaby)
I think these are too cute! I was inspired by a fellow "Cricuteer", Greenbean (you can check out her blog here: http://thegreenbeanscrafterole.blogspot.com/).
I love this project - I'm making a few for gifts, but since I don't have my own baby to dress, I dress my furbaby instead. So, I made this one for my furbaby, Chewie, to wear when we visit Chicago.
I love that I can make the bow on the shirt match the bow in Chewie's hair! Stylish!!!
I started with a plain onesie. I used vinyl to make a stencil. I then painted the exposed areas with black fabric paint. Let dry & remove vinyl.
I then sewed a snap onto the onesie and onto a few bows - this is so they are interchangeable.
And here is the final product - the red checkered bow is snapped into place, the others all have snaps attached to them and are ready to be used when Chewie's just not having a "red bow day".

Candy, Candy, Candy!
I think this is officially my new favorite project - and it's so simple to do! My sister thought it would be cute to make them in Christmas colors and fill them with mini candy canes or peppermints, so that's what I'll be trying next!

Fall Front Patio
Our house is on the market and I wanted to add a little "fall" inspiration to our front patio. So, this weekend I cleaned out all of my summer flowers and vegetables growing in pots and started adding in some fall decorations. It's not complete yet, but here's the start...

My Mom's Family Tree
My sister & I purchased this photo-frame family tree stand for our Mom several years ago. She was never able to fill them with the "perfect" photo of each of us kids. The photos were either too small, too up-close, had a boyfriend or girlfriend pictured with us that were no longer in our lives...So, one or more of the frames were always empty.
My mom had the idea of just putting our names in the frames with some sort of embellishment. So, she let me have at it...I was even able to incorporate a diamond puppy paw print in my frame for my fur-baby, Chewie!
